SPIRITUALITY

At the time of our ordination we promised to deepen our life of prayer in order to unite ourselves to Christ more fully.  As members of the Institute of the Heart of Jesus, we are formed in Ignatian spirituality (although we are free to embrace any spirituality approved by the Church).  In addition to Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours, we commit ourselves to a daily Holy Hour, where we encounter Christ in silent prayer. We also make use of the Examen in order to discern God's movement in our life.  Monthly we meet with other priests to reflect on how we are living our commitments and to offer support to one another.  Annually we make a retreat with other members of the Institute.
